Random Ramblings of the Female Mind

You like blogs, right? You'll LOVE this!

Sorry, blog, Nikolet and I have been otherwise preoccupied with work, school, house purchase and packing, DisneyWorld, etc.
I ran across this photo, though, and instantly thought of Nikolet.  Whad’ya think?  Is this a look for a fashionable beauty such as she?  I think she should give it a go.

(Nikolet and I have both been neglecting our blog;  shame upon both of us!  Let’s get back to it!)
I have always had a very practical attitude toward shoes;  have a black pair and a brown pair, a pair of tennies, a pair of sandals, and a pair of good boots, and you’re set.  Lately, though, I’ve been wanting tennies that are more fun, and now …
I see these shoes with a definite sense of humor.  YES!  If you’re going to spend resources on something frivilous, make it frivilous (don’t pretend you purchased those metallic stilettos because nothing else would go with that dress).
How much are those doggie (shoes) in the window?  (does anyone other than me remember that song?  maybe someone into the fifties does.)
These boots are made for walkin’ (another old song), and how about “walking on sunshine,” or “blue suede shoes?”
Gonna wear my Vans today,     Toni

Just a teaser for a State Farm commercial (they’re getting better!).  I just LOVE that no one in the crowd is paying any attention at all to these gentlemen :) .

Need some funny, because the weather today is not at all amusing,    Toni

I need a new bathing suit. And then something to wear over my bathing suit to hide the fact that I’ll be wearing a bathing suit.
Sigh. I really should get rid of my chub.
Preparing for Florida,

So very much to do today, places to be, people to help — my list is longer than my day.  I need to put on my thinking cap (as my grade school teachers used to tell us).  I need to get the pattern for this one;  it could indeed be my thinking cap, or at least amuse other people (or distract them, and thereby give me a head start).
It looks like I might need to put on a thinking cap before beginning to knit this topper.  Hmmm.

Random indeed.  I had noideathese things existed, or that there was a need for them, until a friend brought one to me and asked if I could figure out a crochet pattern for a horse fly bonnet.  Ours, though, needs to also cover the horse’s ears.
?
These are for horses, especially those at shows and competitions, so that flies don’t buzz their little ways into the horses’ ears.
People already give me funny looks when I crochet in public.  Wonder what the reaction will be when I tell someone for the first time that I’m making a bonnet for a horse :) !
Whinney, whinney, neigh, neigh,         Toni
